Tammy Wynette's Personal Belongings Move To The Country Music Hall Of Fame
Tammy Wynette's entire collection of professional memorabilia has arrived at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The collection features Tammy's CMA, ACM and Grammy Awards, as well as 14 of her custom-made stage outfits, including the one she wore to sing "Stand By Your Man" with Lyle Lovett on The Tonight Show back in 1993. Framed letters and messages from Presidents Presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush, and an autographed lyric sheet from her duet with Elton John on the song "A Woman Needs" are also in there. Tammy Wynette racked up 20 number-one hits over the course of her career. She died in April, 1998 at age 55.
